So, when Levi was little I tried to make him a bubble bath for fun (because what kid doesn’t like bubble bath?). Turns out, he hated it. Like freaked out, screaming hated it. So, I never bothered with the stuff again. Until this month. I suppose my children have been deprived, especially Charlotte who probably would have loved it from day 1, but that is what happens. So I broke some out of her massive stash (from various baby showers) under the bathroom sink one night. And they LOVED it. Now every time we have a bath they are both …
Valentine’s Day
I am not one to make a big deal about little holidays like Valentine’s Day bur I do like doing some sort of tradition for my kids to remember and look forward to. My mom and Mike’s mom (presents not pictured because we hadn’t received them yet) got the kids little presents and I decided to get them some $1 window clings to decorate our big windows in the kitchen. They loved it all. So the night before I just set everything at their seats in the kitchen and let them find them when they came down for breakfast. Levi …
Potty Training
Levi was tracked out of school in January so we decided to come home from Christmas activities and stay at home and work on potty training with him. It has taken about 6 weeks but we are finally making significant head-way. I took him out this morning in underpants with no problems! A side effect of Levi’s potty training was that Charlotte wanted to get involved. Why not, you get Hershey kisses! 🙂 We are definitely not doing anything hard core with her but if she asks we go ahead and take her. It has been hit and miss but …
Snow!
The other week we got a little snow storm (that shut down the state for the week….) and one good morning to play out in it. This was really the first time either one of our kids had seen enough snow to play in and definitely their first time playing in snow. They had a blast! Until, that is, they got too wet and cold and then it was very long whiny trek back to the house to get dry. But they had fun and Levi still talks about “sledding” in the snow. Since it was their first time out …
“Little Momma” {January}
My sweet baby girl is getting so big each and every day. It has been such a joy for us to watch her grow and learn new things. One of the sweetest things to watch is the way she “cares” for her dolls and animals, in particular, her baby doll. She loves pushing “Baby” around in her stroller, giving her drinks, feeding her, and making sure she has her bow on. 🙂 One morning we were playing with “Baby” and I showed her how she could sit in her backpack too. She wasn’t such a fan of “Baby” being …
January….and a New Photo Project
I’m back!! 🙂 Sorry for the pause in posts for those that have been keeping up with our blog. After last year’s 365 photo project I have been feeling a bit burnt out both professionally and personally. So, I took some pictures at Christmas and then really didn’t pick up my camera for a few weeks. Yikes! I definitely do not want to give up on regularly taking pictures for myself but I am trying to ease up my “to do” list this year so that I don’t feel so stressed out. Therefore, this year I have decided to just …
