Valentine’s Day

I am not one to make a big deal about little holidays like Valentine’s Day bur I do like doing some sort of tradition for my kids to remember and look forward to.  My mom and Mike’s mom (presents not pictured because we hadn’t received them yet) got the kids little presents and I decided to get them some $1 window clings to decorate our big windows in the kitchen.  They loved it all.  So the night before I just set everything at their seats in the kitchen and let them find them when they came down for breakfast.  Levi …

Potty Training

Levi was tracked out of school in January so we decided to come home from Christmas activities and stay at home and work on potty training with him.  It has taken about 6 weeks but we are finally making significant head-way.  I took him out this morning in underpants with no problems!  A side effect of Levi’s potty training was that Charlotte wanted to get involved.  Why not, you get Hershey kisses!  🙂  We are definitely not doing anything hard core with her but if she asks we go ahead and take her.  It has been hit and miss but …

Snow!

The other week we got a little snow storm (that shut down the state for the week….) and one good morning to play out in it.  This was really the first time either one of our kids had seen enough snow to play in and definitely their first time playing in snow.  They had a blast!  Until, that is, they got too wet and cold and then it was very long whiny trek back to the house to get dry.  But they had fun and Levi still talks about “sledding” in the snow.  Since it was their first time out …
