Our church has official broken ground for our new building this past Wednesday. This is a very exciting step for our church – about 11 years in the making! The ceremony consisted of prayer, words spoken by various people, the “official” groundbreaking and music. It was a sweet celebration on a beautiful evening. Flowers!
We don’t have much of a yard – Mike and I do not have green thumbs. When it comes to the house we are all for it but ask us where to plant something and we’ll look at you like you have 3 heads. Despite our lack of garden knowledge we have gotten a few things to grow – and they actually look nice. Here are some pictures from our front yard. 🙂 One day we’ll have a gorgeous yard…..
No More Basketball Hoop
Yesterday afternoon I got an idea of how to get rid of the basketball hoop in our driveway. I got this idea from a blog that I follow (and love!) – This Young House. They enlisted free labor from Craigslist to remove some bushes from their front lawn. The people just had to come and dig them up and they were their’s free and clear. So I thought why can’t I do that with our basketball hoop? I’m sure there is someone out there that would want a free basketball goal. Sure enough I was right. A LOT of people …
Wedding #1 of the year!
This past weekend Mike and I drove up to Pittsburgh and then subsequently Ohio for my cousin’s wedding. We made the trek up Thursday night and arrived in Pittsburgh at 3 AM and very quickly crashed at my college roomate’s house (Jenna – we didn’t get any pictures together!).
