We spent all afternoon today painting our bedroom a lovely blue/gray color. As of 5:30 PM it is still not finished but it is getting there. We got a little hungry and needed to stop for a food break. Painting was not the most fun part of the whole afternoon however. The best part – I recommend this for anyone who would like to work on patience – was to listen to our dog bark for 3 hours in his kennel. Cold South!
It has been pretty cold (and wet) down here in North Carolina. Over the weekend we had a “big” snowstorm. It didn’t amount to much, unfortunately, but it was still kind of fun. Then we had some very low temps and a little bit of ice to deal with. Here are some pictures from our little snowstorm on Saturday.

Recap of events
Mike and I survived the hussle and bussle of Christmas and all the wedding festivities surrounding the holiday this year. Christmas was very nice and fun exchanging gifts and seeing all of our families. It was a busy day for sure! We did the rounds visiting 3 houses in one day. No breathing time after Christmas – had to get right down to wedding business. Everything was lovely and beautiful. And now we have a very sweet new sister-in-law!
