Fall has decided to come to North Carolina – it is much much cooler outside today and it is supposed to be like that all week! New Lens!
So, last week (right before my accident!) I received my new lens in the mail. I had ordered a Nikkor 50 mm 1.8 lens so that I would be able to take better portraits. That afternoon I played with it a little bit and here are some photos from that day. Yankee was being a good model for me! I LOVE it but I am definitely going to need some more practice with it. 🙂
Labor Day Weekend
We have spent much of this weekend just hanging out and relaxing. Mike’s original plan for this weekend was to get many projects done around the house. That didn’t happen but we did get the dry wall fixed in the rooms that we ripped off the chair rail. We realized that we are not good at patching dry wall so in came the experts. Photoshop
I spent some time this evening before it got dark playing with my camera in the yard. Subsequently, I played with the pictures once I brought them in and put them on the computer. What I have decided from tonight’s project is that I really want CS4. Photoshop 7 just doesn’t cut it any more. It’s biggest drawback is that it can not open RAW files. So, I have to view my RAW files in Picasa (yes, the free photo editor) and then save them as JPEGs in order for Photoshop to open them. Oh, and another thing that I …

Nope, didn’t win the contest in case you were wondering. Didn’t think I would. I am watching little Miss Ella today at my house. We are watching Clifford right now on a very fuzzy television screen. I somehow messed up the channels that were coming through in my attempt to fix them. Guess I’ll be waiting for Mike to come home and fix them. Haircut for Puppy
So since I posted a picture of my haircut it is only fitting that I post a picture of my puppy’s haircut. We told the groomer to take it short and this is what we got! It definitely took some wrangling to get him to hold still for a picture but doesn’t he look handsome? 🙂

Dog for Sale
Adorable chocolate labradoodle pup for sale. He is smart but extremely stubborn. Likes to bark, scratch at the door and eat. Write to us if interested. Ok, we aren’t really selling the Yanks but if anyone has any really good trainers to recommend now would be the time to offer thier names. 🙂 Our doggie has hit puberty and has been driving us crazy with his barking and getting things he shouldn’t have. His good looks save him from being put up for sale!
