Yesterday afternoon I got an idea of how to get rid of the basketball hoop in our driveway. I got this idea from a blog that I follow (and love!) – This Young House. They enlisted free labor from Craigslist to remove some bushes from their front lawn. The people just had to come and dig them up and they were their’s free and clear. Wedding #1 of the year!
This past weekend Mike and I drove up to Pittsburgh and then subsequently Ohio for my cousin’s wedding. We made the trek up Thursday night and arrived in Pittsburgh at 3 AM and very quickly crashed at my college roomate’s house (Jenna – we didn’t get any pictures together!). Bridal Shower
This past weekend I spent the weekend up in MD with my family for a very special event – Katie’s bridal shower! It was a very nice weekend and the shower was nice – even though it was hot! Here are a few pictures from the afternoon. I didn’t take a ton because I was running around trying to get everything set up, writing down what Katie got and trying to take pictures. I needed about 10 hands. 🙂 Her theme for the wedding is green, yellow and daisies – so we went with it for the shower!

Oh, the beach and vacation seem so far away! The past 2 months have been creeping like molasses…time needs to hurry up a bit! (I say that now but then when vacation comes I’ll want time to slow down again….oh well.)
Time with good friends
Saturday night Mike and I drove up to Durham to meet our friends Liz and Mike at their new apartment. My friend Amy had also driven down from MD to spend the weekend in NC with Liz. So we all piled into the car and headed into Chapel Hill for a yummy dinner at Lime & Basil (or fruit &; herb – according to Liz!). 5K Completed!
Mike and I ran in the Cary Road Race this morning and completed the 5K race. They also had a 10K earlier that morning which Mike is now talking about doing next year! We’ll see about that one. But we did have some friends that competed in the 10K and they have all my respect! 3.1 miles is plenty for me right now! But we surprised ourselves a little bit in how well we did the run. No, we were not first – not even close but we ran the whole thing (never stopped!) and we ran it in 30 …
The Beach!
At the end of May, we are heading to the beach with some friends from church. It is going to be such a sweet time! I am excited – can you tell! 🙂 I created a countdown ticker so I can know exactly how much longer it is till vacation! (Oh, and I get the next week off too for my little sister’s wedding!)
Dead Car
So my car died last night. I was out shopping with my mother in law. We were getting in the car to come home and it wouldn’t start. Mike was watching the Harvey boys so Greg came and rescued us with jumper cables. It died again when I got it to the driveway last night. Jumped it again this morning and drove it to go get a new battery. At least it is just the battery and nothing too serious. It is all fixed now just one more thing – so annoying! But I supposed it had a good run. …

This dog was in major trouble last night – not allowed in the kitchen anymore kind of trouble. But I was taking pictures of our room and can’t leave him out because he is so darn cute. I guess we’re stuck with him. 🙂
At it again
I can’t seem to keep my house the same for too long. It might be a disease – but I just get bored and keep thinking about how I can do it better. This is probably why I don’t have much on the walls yet! I can’t commit. 🙂 Anyways, I decided that I wanted to see what our bedroom would look like rearranged.
